Well it ain't a real tape machine, simulated. I agree it looks cool but the price is a little high for a toy. Much better bang for buck keys out there like the Alesis Fusion. Ah, that makes more sense. I was naively thinking it actually had a built-in cassette 4-track that automatically converted t...

Would you ship to Australia? And can I even use these in Australia? (I've got a step-down transformer, anything else I'd need?) I honestly don't know the particulars of using it overseas, but a step-down transformer is probably all you would need. Perhaps the Making A Space forum could confirm this...

FS: Sytek MPX-4Aii (No Burr Browns) *SOLD*
$600 shipped.
Works great, sounds great. Lives in a smoke-free studio. Maybe some rack rash, but no major scratches or cosmetic issues.

Put together an EP (under the moniker Dromemord) of some of the weirder solo stuff I've recorded over the past couple years.

I'm wondering if the Low Latency Monitoring was actually activated. I've had instances when it was checked, but wasn't working. Try toggling it on and off and see if that changes anything. I've never had any problem with latency when that setting's on, and the buffer's at 256, and my machine is pret...

Just got an RE20 back from being repaired, after buying it in a not-so-functional state from Craigslist a year ago for $75 (so I've never used it). I've now got the big three - SM7b, MD421 (x2), and now the RE20. Whoa. Total jealousy. I'm a dynamic mic enthusiast with an emphasis on broadcast mics....

If there isn't a timeline, and you're not in a hurry to wrap it up, I'd work up some rough mixes with very minimal processing, and then walk away from it for a week or so. Don't listen to it; nothing. It sounds like you're pretty close to this project, so maybe the distance would give you some persp...

Re: Burl Mothership in Portland OR
Hope I'll be forgiven for the biz related post, but thought people in the Portland Oregon area might want to know, we have a Burl Mothership to see, hear, demo for a week (they are in real short supply right now) Call me at 503-228-2222 if you'd like to set something up. I'd love to hear some compa...
