I've been listening to a lot of mid/late 90's "alternative". I really couldn't stand 99% of it because for alternative it was sure played all the fucking time everywhere. But there were a lot of great songs, so I'm catching up. This is one.

Honestly, I'm going off of the YouTube video I just watched. It sounds super powerful for a one OSC synth. Nice, tight LFO and the filter sounds like early ARP stuff.

Does it have PWM?

If you want a really good finish, the other option would be to find someone experienced to do it for you, like an auto paint shop or powdercoating place.
Exactly what I was going to recommend, powdercoating.

I own a motorbike and an acoustic. Both nearly 35 years old and both look and function like they were made yesterday.

Yamaha are so badass, they (according to the above timeline) decided to start making acoustic guitars right in the middle of WWII.
