Hey Hey! "double-beater single-kick"? Man, it was loud in there. I thought we were talking about a Glen Kotche's beef-eater jingle-stick! Me too. And his cocktail kit! It was fun. It's always nice to hang with fellow TapeOpers. Now, it's interesting, this little fun we had with Mr. Pitt, and then w...

I talked to a buddy who lives in that neighborhood, and he recommended the Western stop on the Blue Line. Just a heads up!

Since I'm not familiar with the Map Room's layout, I asked around here at work, and learned that the tables are in the back, past the bar. So head that way when you arrive and look for the TO sign(s). I'm wearing a green/gray shirt and a ratty, old army field jacket. Stu *You know you want to...ever...

dwlb - Hopefully we'll see you at the next one. Break a leg tonight. vvv - I don't think you want me as your wing man. It usually ends badly for the pilot. Besides, I don't think my old lady would approve. See all ya'll tonight. I'll be there @ 6:00, with a sign on the table/wall, drinking something...

Yeah, I'd look like Brad Pitt, if he looked a little like John Denver! Damn these genes.

I'll have at least one sign up at the table. If there's a hostess, I'll mention it to her too.

Hasta manana!

So, what's everyone's favorite Mitch Mitchell moment? I listened to Axis last night, and kept coming back to "If 6 Was 9" - I lost track of how many times I listened to it. That album really showcased his versatility. And, his participation in The Dirty Mac for the Rock'n'Roll Circus was really coo...

Thanks for the link. Looks like the Damen stop on the Blue Line is the closest station.

What's everyone's ETA? Like I said, I'll probably be there early. I'll print out some signs for the table too.

I've some schedule clearing to do, but I'm really hoping to make it. I could use a night out and some good camaraderie. The location sounds like a winner.
Hey Archmart! Looking forward to hearing about your European Vacation.

What time were you guys thinking? I'm afraid if I sit there too long with these heavy duty brews, I might not make it to midnight! I can always kill time at Quimby's if you want to meet later.

That new Daking Mic Pre One does look nice, and it's in your price range. I'd try to get that in for a demo. I don't have a Solo 610, but do have a 2-610. I like it for some stuff - vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, misc. hand percussion. It's not the most versatile pre though. The P-1 is great. I like...

Sorry I've been MIA. Still recovering from the Cheech & Chong show!

Map Room sounds cool. Can we lock that in?

Regarding time, I'm open. I could make it there as early as 6:00. What's everyone else thinking? I'll have to bolt @ midnight to catch the last train back to Homewood.

I have an M-1 Deluxe and a 2-610, and think both have their merits. I get great results using a channel of the M-1 w/ a 414B/ULS in omni @ the 12th fret of my HD-28, and a channel of the 2-610 w/ a 4033 right behind the bridge. I've only recently been introduced to the 512C and the Juggernaut, but w...

Sco - you will be missed! I promise to hoist a pint for you.

vvv - I'm not familiar with Hop Leaf, so I have no idea. Is it a good place for a group looking to chat?
