I have a pair of Layla 20's that are rock solid and they still sound good to me. Mine will get warm but not hot. I have then racked next to each other and they still rock my world.

600 dollars is not a bad deal. I paid a bit more then that for mine (it was on consignment at a local shop). It is a great amp head!

The firestation is an 8x8 firewire soundcard with spdif and adat i/o as well. I used it with my remote recording setup. Asking $325.00

Meriphew - thanks for the tip. I think that would be a better direction for me to go. I sent him a note wondering if he might be putting together DIY kits because he is not currently able to produce them himself. We will see if he replies.
