Thanks RefD, Ill be giving em a call. Not sure which version i have, didn't come with the box and i don't see a "made in" anywhere on it. Oh well. I did notice that mine has more #'s screened on for the ratio knob than ones i've seen in the ad's (5 compared to 3). Only seen one other pic with the sa...

Yeah, one of my VU bulbs has been out for a while now... I have never even bothered to open it up to check. Reading this today, now it is on my short list.
HAHAHA! I just checked out your myspace pics and saw your VLA in the background and its the same fucking light.

Art Pro Vla

Just got mine yesterday from an eBay purchase. Everything works great and i love the sound of it. One thing though is that one of the VU light is out. Are these an easy switch out or do I have to send this thing in? It?s more of an annoyance than a necessity but just wonder what any of you have done...

I always hear everyone talking about the hamptones. The Tube and JFET both have great reviews and they sell them pre assembled so if your technically challenged like i am its a good thing. Sounds like they fit into your description. Also Joel raves about the Sage Electronic pre's (which I really wan...

Nice. That?s what i thought (tape manipulation) but wasn?t quite sure. I really dig that article and will definitely borrow some of those techniques. Is it possible to recreate the tape flange in say Protools doubling up the tracks and slowing one down slightly? I?ve only been using Protools for a y...

Flanger Question

I was curious how they got such an effect, mainly 60's insane flange that seems to have a mind of its own. Notably The Byrds "Wasn?t Born To follow" and some of Hendrix's tunes. I think Lenny Kravitz used it at well. Was this a pedal/rack effect or tape manipulation of some sort?
