I'm still getting emails from people who think the Purity endrant is real. Do people not read closely? Is satire or humor dead? Do we all have sticks up our asses? By the way, we got something up at the site: http://www.tapeop.com/honestrecordings/ Yeah, everyone supposedly needs $*@#&ing "smileys"...

There is some kind of physics-nerd-rule, where as a string gets thicker for its length, it vibrates less like a string and more like a struck metal bar (with funny bad-sounding harmonics). So maybe floppy is better (that's what she said).

So far I only have a couple of apps that aren't free, but that will probably change (somehow the $1 or $2 prices seem higher when there is a ton of free ones out on the iTunes store?). I saw a couple of Theremins that look interesting. free: iTick - metronome (nice, also has the Italian names, I sho...

iPhone apps

Anyone else playing around with these (or maybe you're actually making music)?
I wish somebody would port an old version of a sequencer to it, or maybe something like Band in a Box. Wait and see, I guess.

An easier way to check out Ardour may be to get one of the audio-oriented Linux distros, like Ubuntu Studio or 64 Studio. I'm still in the 'experimentation' stage with 64 Studio, one of these days I'd like to make the switch...

I have an old Montgomery Wards "Coronado" B&W tv upstairs, I could record that being switched off and on if you really want. I'm not very concerned about breaking it (I think it runs on tubes or whatever came bef...

Maybe name tags (TOMB and/or the tape reel logo, screen name) would help?
I thought about going, but still kind of getting back to reality after vacation.

If you love this song there is a whole pile of other terrifyingly bad but catch as hell 80's Canadian music that you might love. I see your Saga and raise you Trooper, April Wine, Molly Hatchet, Triumph, Max Webster, Goddo, Loverboy, Aldo Nova, Rough Trade, The Parachute Club, Luba, and the Spoons....

My music room is bright yellow, about like the banners on this page.
I think that 'chalkboard' paint or maybe magnetic paint would be cool if you had enough open space (i.e. not filled with crap hanging up like mine).
