FS: Roland VSR-880 with 8 Channel RCA to 1/4" Snake - M
The Roland VSR-880, has 8 inputs/outputs, ADAT I/O, MIDI I/O, SMTPE sync, and is is the most stable rack based hard disk recording/playback system I ever experienced! I'm also including an RCA to 1/4" TRS 8 channel snake so you can get right to work! If you're in a band that needs backing tracks, th...

If you're not already familiar with it, I would highly recommend checking out the SPL 2Control. You can hook up two pairs of speakers (and an optional sub woofer), have multiple input sources (DAW and external unit), control the volume/mute, plug-in two pairs of headphones (each with its own separat...

Re: Best Alternatives to Waves Plugins --- Mac OS X and PT 9
Well I just got a new Mac setup to replace my PC desktop for audio, looking to get some new plugins along with the PT9 installation. What are the best bang for buck native plugin sets out there for mixing and mastering? I generally have used Waves and T-Racks so I am familiar with those and they've...

Kittonian, how many cores do you run PTHD with? Only asking because I had read about crashes trying to use cores above 4 or 6, do you run into problems there? I run it with 6. No problems here. I have heard of some people having issues when they are using some of the more esoteric VIs but I've neve...

Ok, this is good. Elaborate the differences, I'd like to know to look for. I guess the only way to elaborate the differences in words would be to say that things will sit better in a mix with a lot more depth and dimension. You really have to hear an A/B or have hardware experience to truly realize...

The Lexicon PCM81 is best for delays in my opinion. It's actually my go to lead vocal delay. Just set it to the session tempo using the P.3.0 Panned Delays preset and off you go. ReverbOne is a fine plug-in but it's really not that hard to tell the difference between a high end outboard fx box and a...

My favorite signal chain for acoustic guitar is: Peluso 2247SE on the body with a Peluso CEMC6 up top by the tuning pegs (for air). Both mics run into BAE 1073s and then into a DBX 160SL just to shave off any peaks. From there it goes into an Aurora16 and into PT|HD at 24bit 96kHz. Killer signal cha...

If any of you have questions or would like to discuss the Peluso product line, please feel free to give me a call. I was the first dealer John ever brought on and I've been working closely with him for many years now. Not only do we represent the Peluso line but I also own the mics and use them ever...

If you really want a patchbay that'll last you forever you should check out the AudioLot Mixbay. When I say forever I really mean it because we offer a lifetime warranty. There's a manual in PDF format and a few magazine reviews on the product page you can read through as well as a video. Here's a l...

If you want to go more high-end than the Digi 192's and still retain complete integration with PT|HD (i.e. delay compenstion, sample accurate to the 192, and port for port accurate) you should really consider the Lynx Aurora16 with the LT-HD card. That 1U, no fan, setup is equivalent to (2) full pop...
