Re: 911 foreknowledge Zogby poll

Actually, I'm pretty amazed and pissed off that people who fucked up so bady (Rice, Gonzalez, Rumsfeld and, for that matter, Bush) could get rewarded. My ass would be fired if I turned out to be half as incompetent as those dorks.

Re: 911 foreknowledge Zogby poll

HALF of newyorkers think it.... thats staggering, youd think they would cause riots or something New Yorkers, unlike the rest of the country, are not fanatics and don't riot about much. Now, if the president were a democrat and had an affair with his secretary, THEN you'd see the shit hit the fan.....

Re: Eyeglasses and vision and stuff

Jesus Christ - that's an awful long post to ask whether or not you should get an eye exam.

Of course you should. You have to see things. If you have money for beer/pot/coffee/newspapers/DVDs/CDs or whatever, you have money for your eyes.

Re: Question:Recording to internal drive on powerbook, skipp

I record in stereo via an 828 to a G3 iBook no problem, so it's not the drive.

UNLESS the volume is so loud that it's causing the drive to vibrate..... are you too close to speakers? Or is this club simply too loud for your own health?

Re: dp4 bounce to disk issue.

Read the dialog window before you bounce to disc. You have to choose "main outs" as the output source. Perhaps for some reason it's still set to the aux track you used on your drums.

Re: Oh SNAP! (Condi Hearings)

What I don't understand is how all these people could fuck up so badly - publicly demonstarting their idiotic incompetence - and then get rewarded for it. These bastards should be in jail. Or better yet, use them as Humvee armor. If you think we're in trouble now, wait until Cowboy george decides th...

Re: 48KHz vs. 44KHz

Technically, there's a teeny tiny difference between 48 and 44.1 - theoretical frequency response would jump from 22.05 kHz to 24 kHz, which isn't enough for most human beings to notice. On the downside, you're going to have to go through a conversion process to get it to 44.1 for a CD... the most y...

Re: mac mini? hmmmmmmm.....

with all due respect, does this have anything to do with what type of computer you're using? Well, yeah, kind of. My friends that have PCs seem to have a bitch of a time getting things to run smoothly year in and year out. We trade files alot, and the only problems I've run into is when my Windows ...

Re: mac mini? hmmmmmmm.....

No compatible software? I'm using DP, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator, Adaptec Jam and Toast, and DVD Studio Pro. I can't think of anything else I need to do with my computer - and I'm doing an awful lot more than my PC friends are.

Re: mac mini? hmmmmmmm.....

You know, if you're into rolling your own, I can see why you'd prefer PCs over Macs. But as far as saying that Macs are garbage... I've been using them since the eighties, I see how Microsoft and all the PC manufacturers are always playing catch-up to what Apple comes out with, the machines are usua...

Re: Good cello music?

Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Cello are two CDs worth of the most gorgeous sounds a cello can make. I have the Yo Yo Ma version on Sony, but I can't imagine going wrong with any recording you can find of these masterworks. Nothing but one cello playing drop-dead gorgeous melodies for two hour...
