I think the phase problems can be attributed to the wind that was blowing all day long. Top end gets smeary sounding at outdoor events and can disappear if the wind blows the wrong direction. There may have been other sound issues too (like Jody Stephen's dead vocal mic during the Big Star set), but...

I thought it was a lot like the Sunday comics - no plot, underdeveloped characters that were instantly forgettable and that you couldn't care less about, 2-dimensional dialogue and in the end, not that funny at all. Feh.
