If I have a middle pair on the button and it's an unraised pot do you suggest I limp in with my Art MP, hoping to trap if I make a set, or should I raise it up to something like GT Brick and try to push some hands out of the pot?

GOod luck with the event!

If worse comes to worse, you could just get an ADAT!

I'm sure you can find someone that would sell or even just let you borrow one.

Also most interfaces with ADAT i/o can be configured to be simply converters. MOTU 828mkii for example.

I have used a Samson Servo 120a for a few years to run my nearfields (a QSC runs my midfields), and I can honestly say it's really clean. Maybe underpowered for really cranking it, but no noise to speak of. No fans, so it's dead quiet in the control room. Reliable, too. No issues whatsoever, plus i...

Budget 1U Power Amps - Crown D-75 or ?

Currently I only have a vintage 80's mid fi Hitachi (!) receiver to power my Event 20/20's. It really hates pushing those 4ohm Events - sounds great with the small pinnacle bookshelf speakers that I have though. So I'm looking for a power amp. My Budget is $175 at the most. Id just go with an Adcom ...

I used one 15 minutes ago and am super-happy about it. I've had it continuously since 1993, despite many other pieces floating in and out. You want one with SCSI. The SCSI kits are unavailable. If it has the SCSI, this is a very good deal, if it doesn't, its nice as a parts board, but loading from ...

Ensoniq ASR-10?

I'm just a guitar player that sometimes writes a bit on piano. At one point I owned a sweet Fender Rhoads - and haven't had a decent keyboard since. SO I'm only peripherally looking to pick up a nice keyboard - has to have a great feel. I've had a few shitty controllers that I never touched after 5 ...

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that the fit of a pair of ear buds in a particular persons pair of ears greatly affects the sound. One person might percieve earbuds as being too bassy, too boxy, brittle, etc. because of the physical fit of the earbuds in their ear. Simply adjusting the fit o...

Reamp the track (or just duplicate it if the reamping isn't giving you much) then ram those signals into a M/S processor, using EQ, level, and pan, of each track individually pre decoder to get something listenable out of the track. No rules here, just play around with it (except do start hard left/...

I often get caught up in making everything as loud as everything else - and the snare louder (I like loud snare too!) Sometimes the kick will just get buried in a certain part of a song, and I fight that, but maybe it's ok to let it get swallowed up by the wall of guitars, (or anything else) because...

from the last diagram, it looks like you are on the right path here. I would suggest abandoning using the bigger mains as a pair. All you need are wedges, so use them that way. Point one of the big speakers at the drummer, he wants his kick to be loud and he needs to really hear the bass to lock in ...

I suppose in the picture the only thing holding the drywall up is the 1/3" ledger board which would appear to be screwed into the side of the joists. . This is a "cleat" Paneling and cabinets are often held in place with a "French cleat" This is is a system that involves interlocking cleats. So oft...
