I guess it's upgrade or try something else huh?

I'm not really looking forward to learning a new program, but maybe it'll be good for me.

Nope.

I'm stuck in 4.5 for now. I'd love to get into DP6, but I can't yet.

DP4.5 and intel imac

I just got a used 20" intel imac 2.4g. After installing DP 4.5 on it, I plugged in the FW drive that I've been using with my ibook g4 for years. It would let me open a session and a box would come up saying that I was missing some plugins (I have transfered them from the ibook yet). I'd hit continue...

Trick Fall,

If Starbearer76 doesn't take this off your hands, I'd be interested (especially if I can transfer the license).

WTB: powered monitors

I'm looking for some Event Tr-8s, KRK V6s or V8s. If anyone has some they want to get rid of, let me know. Also, if you've got some that I didn't list, shoot me a message. I'm looking to spend $300 or less. I've also got some random things laying around that I could throw in to sweeten the deal. Tha...

Well, I think it went pretty well. I went with SDCs (modded MXL603s) in XY by FOH, CAD e100s on the sides of the stage, and randomly placed a Royer'd MXL2001 in the back corner of the room. I hid the 2001 behind a floor lamp. This ended up being kind of a "happy accident", because there were 3 heckl...

Okay, so I'm definitely taking the hand-held mic and I like the idea of recording it to 2 different tracks with a high and low level. I was planning on a couple of modded 603s in XY at the FOH position (2/3 of the way back in the room). Do you think that I should also have some on the stage in stere...

recording live comedy

I'm recording a live comedy show for a friend of mine this weekend.

Any pointers?

It will be a smallish club (250-300 capacity). I'll be recording through a MOTU 896 to DP.

Thanks

This thing is sick!

Somebody needs to pick it up. If it sounds like the regular input modules (which I'm sure it does), you won't be sorry. I'm sure the beyers will take it to a new level too.

Side note: I've got a beyer on the input of a baby animal I'm trying to finish. Can't wait.
