Re: Soundcraft Spirit Mix Bus

I thought they were balanced cable based on the way the connectors look, but I don't know for sure. I have some balanced cables that I'm confident in so I'll give that a shot and see if it makes a difference.

Soundcraft Spirit Mix Bus

I've been working with a Spirit M12 with a Digi 002R for awhile using the pres on the way in. Last night I played around with mixing back through the board some and I noticed a fair amount of noise/hum monitoring back from the board that I don't get "in the box". Is this a function of the quality or...

Re: Liquorice Quartet rough mix

I think it sounds really good. I think the first lead jumps out as a little load due to the hard panning of the guitars. You could probably pull it back a little and still have it plenty present; try it at least. And it also sounded like the rhythm guitar on the right channel a little while after th...

Re: mixng to a computer

You've got a lot of options. Basically you need some type of 2-channel A/D converter and software program on your mac to mix and create CDs. There are myriad devices which can do the A/D part and as many or more software programs for editing and mixing sound files. Your query is a little too open en...

Re: Rigid fiberglass / Owens-Corning 703 or 705

If you need some then definitely. I'll sell it cheap. I've got boxes of 1-in, 2-in and 3-in. I'll have to take an inventory but I've probably got one or two of each. I'm using them now to make little amp isolation igloos, but it's definitely not the best use of it.

Re: Question about Clock Syncing

Alternately, does anyone know whether you can select the S/PDIF signal from the Minime as the clock source if both it and the Tango 24 are connected at the same time? And I'd presrume in this case the signal would get transferred across as I orginally suspected.

Re: Question about Clock Syncing

Ok, a bit more research through various manuals revealed the following: According to the getting started guide, the 002R requires the ADAT input signal to carry the clock source--so I'm guessing at this point no using the ADAT output to carry through the S/PDIF signal from the Minime. The Minime act...

Re: Slow bounces to disk....?

So does this mean that anything you record in Pro tools records at 48 even if you set it to 44.1? If so i'm doomed with the stuff i recorded on pro tools yesterday as i was going to import it all into VST today today to run with my 44.1 stuff, i'm going to have to check this out right now, see if i...
