Re: juno 60 output weirdness

Tuner cleaner, readily available from Radioshack (if you can still find one) sprayed into an orifice (on the pot) or drizzled down the shaft and worked back and forth a few times.

If it works, great, if it doesn't, time to replace. :high:

Re: Aphex (B&B) compressors

Any TEM place should be able to do that for you, the procedure is in the manual.

Re: DIY spring reverb driver?

What he said  You look at what originally was used to drive it, and extrapolate from there. Is your first statement confused? You say it has a 1.4K input, but your tech says it needs 4V ac into 1.5ohms??? 4V into 1.5 ohms is asking for 2.5W roughly, you won't get that from something that do...

Re: DIY spring reverb driver?

Yeah, there's no speaker in your application, but the original amp was designed to have a speaker, and it looks like the reverb is across the speaker with a reduction circuit and a lamp protection. Basically you could recreate the whole amp, with an 8 ohm speaker load and the etc. -or- you could fig...

Re: DIY spring reverb driver?

How is it wired, is the tank in parallel with the speaker, or in series, or has another amp of it's own?

I mean if it's just in parallel with the speaker, you'd think the amp is designed for the speaker and the tank is considered insignificant in this case.

Re: Ah, the iPhone

I have the same story, except this time it was an electric guitar. The guy asked if he should just chop one of the 1/4" jacks off the cord we gave him, and fit a power plug to it.

Why shouldn't your record vocals thru a Marshall head tho' you some kind of tube hater?

Re: Legacy DAW progs/interface?

The only thing that bugs me about my system is having to do a multi WAV export from Audacity into REAPER, if REAPER could import the Audacity session, life would be heaven.

Re: Legacy DAW progs/interface?

I dunno if I count, I record with Audacity, and mix in Reaper, and run Win XP and a 1010LT? But I don't know what versions. I also will mix in Audacity on Linux given half a chance, and this new update with previews looks kinda neat. If they'd just put REAPER on linux like they said they w...

Re: DIY isobox?

It's in a corner now? What's on the other side? Can you wall it in, but have it open on the outside? The airflow I'm guessing is key, if you could get it venting outside your space somehow? Grille into a hallway or thru an outside wall?
