2404 opamp upgrade

First, beware that upgrading the console might undo some of the character that you claim you're after from the board. A cap and opamp upgrade will likely take it toward cleaner, more neutral sonic territory. Second, if you think the guy's qualified, why not ask him what he wants to do for the board...

Thanks for the reply. I do have several boards at the studio including some newer ones. And your correct about the 2404's limitations but I have found that using that board and the board on my Tascam 388 to close mic drums, percussion and some acoustic instruments, then routing through the newer equ...

I have a 2404 board that I use for tracking in my studio and I have been told that an op amp upgrade would improve the boards performance considerably as well as lower the board's noise. I am going to have my tech take the board down to replace the faders soon and I was wanting to know if any of yo...

I would have to take the guts from my MXR Distortion Plus and integrate them into an Electro-Harmonix Smallstone so that I could have a DistortionStone Plus.
