A cheap (AD Musica) fretless 5 string J bass.
Action seems reasonable, I'll need to draw some lines on it that I can ignore while playing out of tune.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Just heard about these, and had to try them... arrived today. Magma Transpositor strings. They're for nylon string guitar, and they're tuned an octave down from normal, but with normal tension. Just like normal nylon strings, they take a while to settle into tune. Did a quick little demo: http://ww...

Historic Studio Tours
I am curious which recording studios of note have tours set up for the general public (well, myself anyway, the public is on their own). I went to Sun Studio back in the late 80's with my parents, that was nice. It was much smaller than I'd imagined. We got some sort of combined city tour/Graceland ...

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Just picked up a nice 1960's harmony baritone uke on craigslist. I'm a bit of a sucker for baritone uke. It covers some of the same tonal range as classical guitar but it's size allows for chord shapes and voicing that would be impossible. This one is solid mahogany and sounds lovely. I just have t...

Re: List your Bandcamp page
@vvv - Are you using the links from the Bandcamp site (the "Share/Embed" link), or rolling your own?
It looks like you've done a few of these . . .

Re: Electronic version - how are you reading it?
With the paper version, I've tried to read it cover to cover (but lately, only reading the gear reviews if they seem like they are aimed at consumers). With an electronic version, I may find I'm cherry picking the interviews and articles. I will have less paper stacked up around the house though.

Electronic version - how are you reading it?
In an effort to declutter (and support the site), I've just bought the complete box set! https://tapeop.com/subscriptions/complete/ I haven't done much with ebooks, Kindle, etc. I am curious what others use to read their Tape Op electronic versions. I have an ancient iPad (iPad 2) that seems to do o...
