What about the op-amps? I opened mine up once, but from what I could tell, they were soldered to the PCB, not socketed. My comment about "correct" was directed more toward the two responders who are "above" the BlueTube DP. There is a general attitude in the audio community that ICs in the signal path equal total crap. This is an exaggeration, depending on who you talk to. I'm not the person to explain it (try search...

It's not great, but it's not B(expletive deleted)ger. Put some TI OPA4132's and a JJ/Tesla tube in and it actually sounds good. Not correct, but good. Get a hold of Matt @ blacklionaudio.com after the holidays and ask him what can be done about the low-grade IC's and the DI. In the meantime go over ...

Some 19" gear (usually the older stuff) is a little bit wider than others. A sure-fire way to get it right the first time is to mount three pieces of gear to just the rails and measure or cut or assemble everthing around these (hopefully cheap if you are drunk/st***d and wielding a power tool) units...
