That would happen every time? Like consistently enough that you knew it would happen if you plugged in an ipod? Weird! was it a USB one? Did itunes automatically open when you did that? (was it set that way, I mean). I havent had that issue... Weird huh? Yeah, like enough that I would say to myself...

I haven't been using them as much recently because they tend to be CPU intensive, but the TriTone Digital stuff is pretty nice - especially the HydraTone. Definitely a bit more in the character department. I have yet to check the URS or UAD plugs.

+1 - I don't think it's far fetched for them to do something like this. It is an iconic knob on long time respected equipment. (Here come the innuendos)

Ha! I used to rock the Realverb back in the day (when it was owned by Kind of Loud)! Now I'm using Altiverb mainly - sometimes IR from Waves.

I've also noticed that the newer versions of PT finally seem to be CS compliant. A big part of it was old plugs too, but I just upgraded my plugs/PT to 7.4 and noticed a BIG difference in efficiency. I'm on a G5 quad (which also had dodgy support for awhile...) 2 years ago I was running a 1.2 G4 w/ ...

A consensus seems to be the Night 3DEQs are good for this type of thing too. I plan on building one to finding out for sure. Let us know how you make out!

Strangely- this used to happen to me after having plugged in an iPod while having my audio drive on. The next time I'd open PT I would have to go through the ritual above...

FWIW I'm on 7.4 now and have yet to do the workspace jig.

I've had to use superglue in that situation a bunch before. You do wear through it pretty quickly though... worth a try.

I think the unfortunate reality of the situation is that converters are somewhat expendable. Like computers, technology will effect converters resale and how the end user views their performance (well... maybe the resale doesn't drop as quickly as computers, but what does?). FWIW- I had my 002 BLA'd...

just upgraded from my powerbook to a mac mini intel duo core. So that's a single processor with a dual core? Cause there is that wierd thing with multi-processors having issues with low buffer settings. If you need low buffer settings I'd try to reduce the number of processors you are using in the ...

Redco is also a really great company. I've gotten several custom cables from them. And their new TT patchbay with DB25 connections on the back looks nice. Got one a month or so ago- I dig how easy it is to configure normalling/grounding. It's my 1st bay, but I really like the compactness/tidyness o...
