True enough, I mostly was asking because I seems like all those "all in wonder" preamp eq etc boxes tend to go as such; preamp->eq->compressor. (such as the ART box etc) It seems that there is a school of thought behind that and although I can hear a difference in PT when they are moved around, I wa...

Thanks toaster, I know there are alot of variables, room, the drums themselves etc, I guess I was just wondering if anyone had any starting points. Example: I found that the eq settings below give a really "metal" sounding kick http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/marshallbaker/kickeq4digirack.jpg ...

I have tried Addictive Drums and EZDrummer. Addictive Drums is a way more advanced program and has more drum sounds that come with it. (Plus a butt load of presets ) Toontrack has a very simple setup but a very good straight ahead drum sound. I ended up buying Toontrack, but will probably buy AD at ...

Any good EQ settings for drums anyone wants to share?

I have been feeling like my drums are a little "flat" sometimes, enough oomph in the kick, but not alot of definition, or not enough crack to the snare. Anybody got any good eq settings that they rely on for their drums, can you share? If you have PT and can export your settings and post, that would...

Once ITB, does chain order matter?

Once the band is in the box, PT in this case, is there any difference in what order you place the plugins? I have almost always been going EQ->Compressor->Verb Should I be going Compressor->EQ->Verb or what? (I dont always use verb, just using this as an example) Does it make a difference? Be gentle...

Actually, thats why you buy the legit version, and never open the box. Use the already authorized plugs "borrowed" from the net.

At the risk of getting flamed for even suggesting it, have you considered something like Guitar Rig 3/Rig Kontrol? It is probably some of the best money I have spent as far as plug ins go. I have people record in my studio all the time and wont even consider using a plug in, but I split their signal...

Agreed, if they paid for them then they are theirs.

This is no different than someone coming to a studio to only record drum tracks and then wanting to take the rest home and record at home on thier m-box. If the studios part is done, then its done.

I tried contacting M-Audio but gave up on being perma hold waiting to talk to someone and left a message instead. Hopefully they call me back. Because I need a 2nd delta by this weekend, I ended up ordering one from musiciansfriend. All I need is the breakout box, I dont need to open up the software...

Yep, already tried it.

I was hoping that was it, but i have two delta's and the one going to the box not working worked just fine once it was plugged into the other box.

M-audio has been closed all weekend but i am going to call this morning and see what they have to say.

I tried opening it up myself last night and try and i might, with painful grunting and all, for the life of me I couldn't get the top two screws on the front off. The irony is that rest all came off no problem. It should be noted though that the cards have set in my rack, in my office for several ye...
