i want to route my unbalance rnc to my balance mixers aux send/return. do i use a balanced or unbalanced cable? i don't have an insert cable so i just want to use the aux send and return on the mixer. which cable will lead to lower noise etc...

the emu 1820m is a great card for that price. great converters (although everyone will tell you its audio path + converters). i think it sounds great. better than the digi 002 i sold recently. super flexible software routing. (almost confusing its so powerful). latest driver release is really stable...

i have the ramsa wr-s4424 24 ch board and i love it. almost had to sell it a while ago .. thank god i didn't. very clean, easy routing, flexible and solid. they are so dam cheap now too. i agree run it into the red

is there a sonic difference in say one brand of 2N2222 and another. I know theres a hell of alot of difference in tubes, do the same rules apply?

ok ive tried various mics tubes etc. it seems that mine does have some noisy pots and i cant go past 10 oclock without getting a fuzz that i would call subtle but not musical. its almost like a clipping at the transients but the overload light is not on. anyone else?

he does, i heard it at one of his workshops. very nice sounding. maybe he'll chime in. joel hampton was there and they mentioned working on it... so it may be modded.

where can you get these? lowes and home depot don't carry them and you have to order from them by the truck load
