Hey, what in the hell is U13? I was recapping a capstan motor and in my haste to test it I shorted out Q6 and an electro. (long story) Q6 cracked and went up in smoke and U13-14 literally popped. switching or linear power supply for +48? (phantom only)
switching for 48 (phantom) only should be ok right? im using linears for the psu for the pres in a rack. want to put the switching 48 in there too. any thoughts on this? anyone tried this combo before?

Its a 2 band switchable eq. hi and lo boost/cut with 4 selectable bands. Runs on + - 15v. Never seen one before looking for info on it, ie vintage, who made it, etc. Thanks

I got a replacement motor from tascam, popped it in and. . . same damn problem which means its not the motor itself, must be the caps or a chip. the caps make sense tho. rack mount chassis supply?
so I got me alot of racking to do. In the past I have used the cases of dead units but now need about 8 2u boxes and a 4u. Mouser et all have hammond cases at 80 to 100 a pop which seems steep. anyone have a hookup/ dead equipment they want to tell me about?

my bad. they are not electros. They are film caps I looked at the schematic again. The physical caps had marks on one end that made me think they were electros. where do you buy your capacitors?
mouser has too high a minimum, digi key doesnt have what I need. I dont trust a cap off ebay for anything especially if its obviously been pulled from something else. Heres what im having trouble finding:
