Hi again, The Digi MME Helper can be downloaded from here; (Scroll down to see the relevant section). http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid=100&navid=54&itemid=23087 The digi asio driver is not multi client, so it can be a little fussy, but if you only run one app at a time (or one app and rewi...

Hi, Not sure about anything after , but Digi 001 works fine with Reaper - just get that Digi MME helper app (it lets you add programs to the registry enty for the digi 001), and reaper.exe. Works great for me. Gives your 001 a whole new lease of life - vst plugs/softsynths, and plugin delay compensa...

Topic: Modifying a Twin Reverb? Help. I'm clueless

Hmm, I have read the weber article ages ago, and I have to say that i'm not convinced. At the end of the day, a larger speaker load makes the amp work harder generally, wears out tubes faster, stresses the amp more, sure, but most of it's heat. A mismatch the other way (low speaker load) is much mor...

amp load mismatching correction

Hi, Just a quick one - if you're mismatching the impedance, you want the speaker impedance to be higher than normal, NOT lower. That is, an amp expecting a 4 ohm load should be fine with an 8 ohm load (it'll run a bit hotter, you'll lose a bit of efficiency as heat - which might be desirable with a ...

Hi, I'd just like to add that i too like Reaper a lot. It works great with my digi 001 - you can you the reainsert plugin to use your ins & outs at mixdown for inserting hardware compressors etc on your tracks (the delay compensation is a must here!). For 001 users it really gives you a lot of extra...

Rats, why doesn't stuff like this ever get sold in the UK?
AMS don't ship internationally ;-(

Anybody wanna buy a blue ball and a kickball for me and ship em to the UK for a modest fee ;-p

Be interested to know what you guys make of these two mics, anyways.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi all,

With regards to silophone.net, does anybody remember a european site with a similar setup, in Germany I think(water tower/grain silo with a speaker /mic/web server)? Been looking for it with no joy.

Sorry for the slight OT diversion!
Cheers,

Hi all, I just recorded a quick cover version at home last night. It was just for grins, I used it as an opportunity to try out some gear that i've acquired lately. I used Bing's carbon mike for the vocals. The track is a cover os David Bowie's "Lady Grinning Soul". You can download it here; http://...

i'd probably be interested if it's around $250. Might be tempted if it was a full kit also. I'm in the UK.

I too would love a SID station, but they're loads of money now ;-(

If only they built a kit for that!

This sounds like a cool project - good luck!

Cheers,

Paul
