Hi there. These techniques have been discussed quite a lot already, i'd search the board for "glyn johns" and "heart mic", should get you going.
Fletcher, why are you banned from TapeopCon?
Just curious. i like your REP forum.

Hi all, FWIW I play non master volume amps myself, got more of a vintage amp vibe, but I'd have to second the peavey 5150. Mesa Boogie Dual/triple rectifier and 515o both stole the lead channel from the soldano Slo 100. Circuit theft is very hard to prove in court, as they only have to change a coup...

Good info form everybody so far i'd say, my hints - don't discount rudiments, the thing about them is that you don't need to cram them al in to your brain, like "I learned all the rudiments", you need to work on a few of them constantly - you ARE playing them already. The ones I always work on are; ...

These amps contain internally in full the Boss CE-1 chorus ensemble unit - in stereo. GREAT chorus. I think that they sound quite warm for a solid state amp. But they don't take overdrive or distortion pedals so well, they are best used straight in for clean/chorus. Gonna get one at some point to go...

I think Larson is by far the better striker over Imbrahimovic - he did nothing for Juventus against Arsenal in the Champions league. Larson singlehandedly beat them for Barcelona in the final - was the only good thing about them winning, Larson finally got a champions league winners medal. Linderoth...

Let's just say I wasn't always an amazing producer of international fame and repute ;-p I'm in the UK, live in the northwest now but i'm a Londoner born and raised. Played football at school, for my county, then played U16 for crystal palace fc. Trained with the county squad at chase lodge (spurs ol...

The best site I know for tweaking PC's for best performance with DAW's is
www.musicxp.net
I run XP Pro, done the tweaks, seems good so far.
Hope this helps,

Focusrite Liquid Mix
Hi all, hope it's all going well... Just read the preview (that is PREVIEW ;-p ) for the focusrite liquid mix http://www.focusrite.com/productdetails.asp?id=62&iRange=1 - which ostensibly claims to be an external firewire dsp and control surface that will provide 32 simultaneous channels of "dynamic...

Just a quick one - my 2 cents - Athlon 64 processors rock, IMo they are the best bang for the buck right now, even the single core processors - get a socket 939 mobo or better. Avoid PCI Express unless you GOTTA have it - i'm running an ASUS A8V-E Deluxe, with a digi 001 and PT 6.4, and a Ati radeon...

Just to play devil's advocate, you can buy a bass drum head hole cutter (they are made by Holz) from most good drum stores, they are like a little plastic thing with a recessed blade at one end, and a bunch of small holes along the length of it, with a piece you move to give you different diameters ...

Beyer M67 - any thoughts?
Hi yallz, just landed me a non working Beyer M67 through work, think it's just a wire off inside the tuchel connector. Anybody got one of these - any thoughts good or bad? Any interesting history/links/anecdotes etc?
Thnaks in advance,
Cheers,
