Damn. This album never bothered me until now! So I tried a remaster of "Only Shallow." Hey the transients are in there somewhere. Y'all should try it if you're not happy with the album as is.

b&w matrix 805's now thru a yamaha a-s1000. put this together 9 months ago, and i slowly quit using my powered yamaha msp-10's. i've since parked the yamaha's in favor of the 805's. Wow. That's the same route I took about 5 years ago. I'll check stuff on the Yamaha's (actually MSP-5s) every once in...

I don't need a redo at all on either Loveless or Isn't Anything. Perfect as is. Maybe Mr. Shields and his business associates need it, though.

Sure. Mouser is standard fare for parts. How many channels is your 5432? Are the channels all 34128's? Direct outs? As for specific types, if you don't get a reply here, ask at Geoff Tanner's site: http://auroraaudio.net

Check with your insurance co. Most likely if you're not fully commercial, you're good to go. A few jobs here and there most likely won't affect your being covered. But as I said, give your agent a call.

I get logged out too most of the time. However, that's not such a big issue for me. I remember my user/pass. If you have a complex system of user/pass, i would suggest looking into 1password. It quite handily handles all your passwords while you just have to remember one master password. I don't thi...

Sure. No problem. maybe a couple flourishes ornaments in a victorian style would give it a bit of a western flair instead of straight rules like something you'd find here

Re: short thread: People are probably speechless.

My fav is Paul's Boutique. That along with De La Soul's "Three Feet High" defined an era for me. Good f'n times.

silophone

Ah, the silophone is a shadow of its former self. Levels are low and there's lots of background noise. You used to be able to really make the space resonate and ring.

Hey. Whatever happened to the silophone, or whetever it was called? You could upload audio files to a speaker in an old grain silo and then they'd spit back the audio from the space. Crazy tails on that!

Edit: It's back (for pc only at the moment) at silophone.net!

That was one of the best 1/2 hours of my life. The song is an echo of the event. Sort of ties the whole recording paradigm into a very tangible perspective. Especially for those who have been in like places.
