From my experience input 1 and 2 are equivalent in actual output volume.
Both are DEAFENINGLY loud... in a beautiful way.

The Fender Twin is a fantastic performing amp but I agree completely about recording volume problems. I would say leave it alone and get a nice princeton reverb. The Silverface ones are ridiculously good tone and killer reverb for recording. They will never make it on stage or even in a normal rehea...

I just sold my solo 610. I liked it only for recording electric guitars with dynamic mics that required minimal gain. Seemed very well built but just didn't do it for me. I am still dreaming of getting into an API 312. (on the other end of the preamp spectrum).

I also use Logic pretty exclusively. If your turning your recordings over for someone else to mix then I would print all the tracks with plug-ins and export all to a back-up folder. They can then import to protools format and it will be in sync.
Good Luck.

I also had a nice experience talking to FMR (an unidentified female) in 2003. I had swapped AC adapters from the RNC and RNP. Other companies that are cool include Chandler and Great River.

Hooray, the SPeckmix II is pending sale to a TapeOp community member. The SSM and expander are still available. I will sell the expander by itself for 300 USD and if shipping is needed buyer to pay all shipping (UPS estimate about 75).
Thanks for your interest.

Okay so I am getting a little desperate. I am willing to sell this non-locally now. I am also willing to take 500 for the Speckmix MkII. Shipping will be about 150.
Would still prefer a local pick-up but I gotta vacate our rehearsal space by the end of the month and this thing needs to get a new home.

Hate to hijack. I thought I would mention for any local people there is a 38 FS for 350 at twintown in mpls. No take up reel or any accesories. It seems to be in decent enough shape. I REALLY love these 38s....

I am contemplating selling my Speck Electronics Speckmix Mk II. It is 8 Bus. But only 16 Channels. Let me know if this is of interest. From what I understand it may be better than the Topaz Audio-wise
