Maybe i'm missing the point on this as i don't use adat, but for me, the echo was weak all around in everything analog. The pres, the headphone amp, the main outs, none of them were ever good for me. It's a little above your price range, but I recently picked up one of these and am loving it so far. Decent clean pres, 8 analog ang 8 adat ins, very easy to configure in pro tools. I haven't had time to read the article yet, but don't you have to convert it to digital before "printing" the record? This seems like a novelty / fad, not sure what the actual value is of making a "vinyl" copy of a digital file.
