Re: You know who has a great foot?

mackie jayson. pretty much the end of the line as far as hard rock drummers. check out "voyage to infinity" on bad brains "quickness" and know that he does that with one foot, one pedal and one 18" bass drum. jeesh. oh yeah, and remember that he did it fifteen years ago. Hell yes. No one ever names...

If you're talking the reissue ones, I'd bet the 2x12 version could handle whatever you threw at it.

Wasn't it Karl Wallinger that redid Sgt. Pepper's... from top to bottom, just for practice?

Re: Re-recording a great (or not so great) album

...Bad Brains- I Against I... Hell no. Leave my adolescence alone, please and thanks. Maybe that record didn't sound "good" to some ears (whatever that's supposed to mean), but it has "a sound". I do agree with the Michael Penn nomination though. March demands a remix. Perhaps in the box set?

I had an idea, but it's a terrible pun and somewhat racist to boot.

Still, I laughed, so I'm going to hell.

I won't. I can think of nothing worse than to pair this band with that engineer.

Unless Bob Rock is producing.

Re: ACDC - Thunderstuck

All I can say about the Razor's Edge recording and on Thunderstruck in particular is that it sounds like they did the old Mutt Lang trick on the gang vocals. This trick involves recording two tracks of whispering shouts, then adding reverb and hard-panning them. It makes it sound like a huge crowd....
