******* 3 MORE DAYS ******* I am still going through all my stuff & finding more things that I can pass on to someone who will enjoy them more. Last night I added an Allen Heath power supply (48v & 15v) this would be great for powering multiple chanels of mic preamplifiers with phantom power. I have...

Never immerse a transformer in water. Interleaved and multi-tap transformers have a layer of paper separating the layers of windings. Damp ness in the transformer can cause the windings to arc, thereby screwing the turns ratio permanently.

Also make sure that you get a DIMMABLE LED....not all of them are, the ones that aren't strobe worse. Other LED's are designed to work in a specific position....one bulb for up one for down one for side mounting. Some cannot be mounted in a can because of heat shortening the live of the LED. Do some...

Re: split

what are the house mics, and acoustics like--transformer might not be the weak link, put in 2 or 4 jensens for the most important feeds and the rest cheepies. The house mics will be replaced with my own microphones whenever I feel it necessary....and the acoustics will vary with every location........

Mic Splitter Project

Does anyone here have any experience using the Edcor 600/600 mic splitter transformer? I have recently purchased some Horizon MS-4, 4 channel mic splitters & am thinking about a possible transformer upgrade using the Edcor. I plan on doing live night club recording & splitting house mics to use my o...

Mid 1970's Klipsch cornerhorns with McIntosh C-11 preamp through a Hafler D500 amplifier. I also have a pair of NS-10s and Event ASP8's. I have absolutely no issues with my mixes translating using the Klipsch.

Good By Old Friend

I sold the last of my keyboards this week. An early 70's Fender Rhodes, Stage 73 model. I sold it to someone who will give it some love. It had been setting in my former studio space for the last few years. At one time the studio had contained my collection of restored Fender amps...Bassman, Bandmas...

I have had good luck with heavier strings with a wound third or G string. I have an old silvertone that I use heavy flatwounds on with a wound G ....sound great & plays in tune. A very different sound which I enjoy.
