I am happy you guys enjoy it! 90% of the tracking was done in my old room, which was rather small.. about 9x12 I believe, it had a high slanted ceiling made out of wood. at the high end of the room the ceiling was maybe 13 feet and at the low.. right...

I tried this just with an average rca cable... thus far it has not made the noise I am going to buy a real s/pdif cable as soon as the store opens. If this solves my problem I will feel like an idiot. I had them synced via word clock before.. but who knows maybe its more stable with spdif.

the cards are not sharing an IRQ, and noise is not being record. It will happen even if the breakout boxes are not connected. It seems to be the card itself.

take a listen to my new band!

I recorded it and mixed it myself with the help of my drummer! Carl saff mastered it today. I always lurk the board but don't often post. Hope someone likes it!

mxl sp1 grill removal??

I am about to do some mods to my sp1, and I was wanting to rip the inner layer of the grill out, it appears to be soldered in or something? Yet my soldering iron does not seem to do anything. Anyone have any tips on how they got this out without making the whole thing ugly?

sounds good, i think I wouldnt pan the guitars so hard. Alot of hardcore stuff is surprisingly narrow. Id also do something to dirty up the vocals. maybe the TesslaSE plugin from bootsy. I have been using alot lately.
