bass through a twin can sound nice but definitely get yourself a real bass cab. i had my amp tech mod channel 1 of my twin for bass.. we changed the "bright" switch to a "deep" switch, like on the bassman amps. it really opened up the bottom end. 70's acoustic amps are still a bargain. and here's a ...

the fisher k10 space expander was used famously and to great effect (literally) by king tubby.. although its rumoured that his unit was heavily modified. theyre still cheap to get a hold of and use a standard accutronics reverb tank.. there's lots more info on the dub forums.

your amp is looking for a 4ohm load, chances are if your are playing though a single 15" speaker, it's seeing a load of 8ohms. while this is still better than underloading, your amp will work better with the correct load. here are the original specs according to ampwares fender field amp guide: Year...

hey i guess i'm a snob too, but i'll still let a siverface fender into the party.. some models (deluxe, princeton etc.. ) suffered only minor circuit changes and can be made to sound as good as any blackface.. and certainly better value than the blackface reissues with their pc boards. still, nothin...

You might want to fact-check that. Fender amps, by the time the blackfaces rolled around, pretty much all shipped with ceramic magnet Jensens or Oxfords (JBL on special order). i was actually thinking of silverface since blackfaces are getting pricey these days.. i have a 74 with cts alnicos.. from...

don't leave out the fender vibrolux reverb! very popular with the jazz guys, the 2X10 speaker configuration is much tighter than 1X12 and these amps shipped with alnicos for several years. more headroom than a deluxe and not much bigger. way lighter than a twin.

nady marketed the same mic as the rsm4, although they list for considerably more than the fathead. for the price i paid for my nady 18 months ago, i could have bought an upgraded fathead, which i still may do. i mostly used the vsm4 on an alto sax player who has a very bright sound.. it help mellow ...
