what i think will reallllllly ELECTRIFY the audience is watching me reach into a shitttily constructed woden box filled with shittily modified shity walkmen and pulling out 6 cassette tapes and then inserting 6 new cassete tapes into the aformentioned machines... i think that will flat out ELECTRIFY...

today i picked up an old alifone school style (with the awesome multiple headphone outs for the whole classroom) and an endless loop tape from an old radioshack answering machine... upon playing with the 30 second endless loop cassette tape i got a brilliant idea! making a cassette bassed mellotron!...

i just never thought that much e6 stuff sounded that much actualllly like what it was claiming to sound like... but thats just me apppparently... jeff magnum is/was a fucking genius, and the OTC were quite solid (primairily when they were more instrumental), but other than that most of what i heard ...

this record grew on me quite heavily... upon reading the pitchfork review i checked it out and i wasnt super overwhelmed like i hoped to be -- as psych is sort of the bread and butter of my worldview.... i was deffffinately instantly impressed by the sounds he put to tape -- as they truly do sound '...

if you are wanting to experiment with this at all -- now is a decent itme... as the parts drawers at radio shack are 1/2 off... so the mic element costs around a buck fifty.... take it and attach it to an xlr cable (if you got phantom power) and your set... as easy as soldering 3 wires... im sure wi...
