MCI JH-110 issues

I 've got two tracks that don't erase completely (2 and 7).
I had a guy tell me to just erase twice, but I don't like that answer.
Is this some sort of alignment problem?
How is it remedied?

Anyone know what size the main recording room is down there? I have heard it described as small, but am curious to the actual dimensions.

Hooking up a Federal Comp.

Just got my hands on one of these. Trying to make sense of the teminal block. What is the "CT" ? Do I skip this one and attach my hot and neutral to the other to screws with ground to the nutted post?

I've got the XL 305 and it is not that noisy. (After i replaced one of the opamps that had gone) I love the thing. Best $40 i ever spent.
