Here is a page that has schematics for the MX30A. I know it is different from the regular MX30, but it should get you started and the guy says he has more manuals to scan so you could ask him nicely and he may provide it. http://www.schmarder.com/radios/schematics/index.htm By the way, what are you ...

It's an old mono hi-fi tube amp, low and high ins, one speaker out. No name, model number, or info of any kind on it. Maybe it was a kit? What are the markings on the transformers? They sure are beefy and more than likely way overrated for the tube layout leading me to think it is a kit. If you had...

I agree with Trodden, don't listen to these other naysayers. With a Mix System you get reliability, stability, no latency and professional sound. The average band has no idea what the difference between a Mix or HD system is, they just want Pro Tools. Heck even most of them won't care that much, the...

ah, I'm not replacing these. I want these in my friend's newer les paul "classic" which he just had some really bad tech put p90s in. Ah, thank goodness! I've heard of horrible stuff being done to classic instruments unknowingly and I wanted to make sure. Those Bumble Bee Workalikes are great and y...

Are you implying that you are going to remove these caps and replace them? If so, are you insane? Leave it ALONE as much as possible. Those gracefully aging parts are a huge facet of the tone of this guitar AND a big part of its value. Even used pulls of these caps fetch $50 EACH on ebay all the tim...

start by checking the fuses If fuses have blown there is a reason. Simply replacing the fuses don't fix anything. They blew to protect the circuit, by replacing them without repairing it, you are endangering sensitive circuits. If you are getting absolutely NO sound, then you need to get a schemati...

A three prong plug here would be a help and prevent the chassis from being hot if you wire it up right. On a two prong plug you have hot and neutral and it usually doesn't matter which way you plug it in. With the three prong variety you always get the right setup since you can't reverse it. What I ...

The 1567 units I have seen had threads in the chassis for the faceplate to secure directly to. It would seem to me that is the only way to do it, if you had nuts on the back end and secured the face plate to the chassis with them, then you would have no access to the other mounting holes for connect...

I do recall demoing on some all-in-one Tascam with 1/4" reel to reel; I think it was an 8-track? Had a mixer built in, though. I believe you're thinking of the Tascam 388. It would be a great step up from the Porta cassette units. The workflow would be similar so the learning curve would be minimal...
