yeah, that would help, but 512 will not likely get you more than 8 tracks of 96k. Maybe if there are no plugs, you could get like ten.

But heck, try it. Maybe your computer will make it happen!

And borrow the lucids.

1, The Lucids blow the 002 converters away by miles. I've had both, and an Apogee 48k, and the lucid killed it too. Really, really nice converters. 2. If you pc is not beefed up, your computer will not likely do more than 8 tracks at 96k. You may want to post the specs so that people can speculate a...

Hamptone JFET (assembled) $575 SOLD

Hi there, I purchased a Hamptone mic pre kit and assembled it approx. 4 mos. ago. It's gotten very light use, as I already have a number of pres. Go here for detailed information: http://www.hamptone.com/HJFP2.htm Honestly, I just wanted a new electronics project, and this is a fun one! Now I want t...

Dumb hamptone jfet question...

Howdy,

My kit has been done forever, butt I messed up the lengths on the LED's the first time, so I just left them out.

I just realized my point - to - point diagram at work. Damn.

Anybody have one handy? I'm dying to know how to orient these, as they are diodes.

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting stuff. I didn't realize there were ic's in the box...that's kind of funny. Like marketing a proprietary box full of non proprietary amps. :D Thanks for that info. Has nothing to do with that discussion, but I'm getting a whole lot less snotty about ic's, lately. I played with some Quad 8...

OSA does not = API While one is interchanageable, they do not really sound the same. API is a completely discrete opamp while the OSA has IC chips inside the little black box. JRE This is interesting. I had the mp1-c, and when it showed up, I called about the ic in there. It wasn't in the product p...

I've got an N72 and a couple A12's, and have had both hamptones. For some reason, I like the other Neve clones a lot more than the n72. Specifically, the Chandler LTD-1, but it's also a 1073 (and not 1272) reproduction. Let the flaming/ridicule begin, but there's a lot to be said for that 3rd gain s...

Seriously, fuck ebay bidders. I hate them.

Sadly, Craigslist is getting like this too. Morons who lowball and ask ridiculous questions.

it's my understanding that the last poster has some serious misunderstandings. it happens all the time on forums... when you talk authoritatively about things that you really don't understand, you end up sounding silly. and, you also end up confusing people. i think it's a great place to buy shit, if you're in the market. people take their "reps" over there very seriously, so you typically don't get screwed. at least that's my experience.
