Talk to Shawn Cleary at Analoghaven.com. He rules. That place has been nothing but awesome for me for years now.
Tell them I say hello.

it depends on what stuff you are talking about.
Do you mean the A/SYS stuff or really analog solutions?
Like the same people who make the concussor modular drum machine synth?

I was the one who posted about the super slow, low ratio compressor on the washy OH, and it is just ONE of the tricks you can throw at that sort of thing. Also: EQ'ing out the most annoying of frequencies with one EQ, only to give it back POST compressor can be really great. Like two notches at 3.2k...

I have owned both, and they both do good things in the right circumstances, but for sure the above is true to an extent... you may LOVE the more "open" edge of the black faced stuff on snare or room mic, and you may like the more frequency-morphing-obvious-filtery-tone-shaping of the older ones. The...

Re: AT Pro37r vs. "Alice" by Scott Helmke

For the price it's probably worth just having both, but for some reason I'm still trying to decide between the two. Don't necessarily need them OH's, but rather, for general applications from various sources that would require a stereo field, (i.e. Room Sounds, Symphonic Sounds, Nature, Natural Rev...

SSL install going well. About to put down the 3/4" reclaimed parquet oak flooring in the live room. Finished the HVAC leg for the SSL power supply ISO in the machine room... I am starting to get excited. Its amazing to have doors.

(as per suggestion of Mr. Hamilton himself) ;) I will purposely let up on the limiter section a little just to get the output grinding. the balance between limiter/comp and output crunch is really the game with those. Once you get it setup and limiting, crank the hell out of the output, like all th...

I remember we had to head over to some weird old school electronics supply shop to find somebody with four pins in hand. I'm glad those are still holding up :) I don't think I was quite as good at soldering back then.... They are spares, and hilariously large gauge wire was used... they are way mor...

sidechain a compressor to the kick so it turns the bottom snare mic down a few Db only when the kick is hit, rather than trying to gate the bottom snare, just have the kick push the buzz down and shape the envelope so it works well with the ssnare/tempo/song... I love that trick. If I was tracking i...

Dbx160VU: possibly one of the more overrated compressors on the vintage market.
Thats just my opinion. I have tried to like them on so many occasions, and just cant seem to make it happen.

I think you're having trouble finding it because it's so simple. It would be like listing "Rack Screws for Chandler Germanium Preamp" on a store website. It's just a standard XLR 4 pin power cable. Redco could most certainly make you one, but I bet if you email Chandler directly they'll hook you up...
