Hey all... I have a couple of these, and am only using one... So, this one goes out the door... Worked just fine 5 years ago when I fired it up, but will unrack it, take some better pics, and fire it up to make sure it's all working soon... $1K shipped... http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee22/e_st...

FWIW, Craigslist is not that widely used in the UK. You'd be better off looking at Gumtree, which is essentially the same thing. You'll get some scams but they are generally quite obvious. Thanks!! Yeah, I went and looked at high-end mandolin prices too, and saw the same thing--stuff that is just t...

Buying Mics In London?? Anyone Living in the UK??
Hey all... OK, I'm totally mystified... I'm thinking of heading over to the UK this summer, and thought I'd have a gander at London's Craigslist to see if anything interesting was kicking around... Check this out... The prices on used Neumann mics are hard to believe... Cheap! Go down that list--the...

FS: A Really Nice Hohner Clavinet I in the SoCal Area--SOLD
Hi all... I have one of the earliest Hohner Clavinets made, the Clavinet I, in it's original case... Everything is there, including the legs... (EDIT: the music stand is missing)... The on-board amp is not working, but the 1/4" output works just fine... Great condition for a 50-year-old instrument, ...

Personally I usually refrain from mentioning stuff until I already own as many of them as I'm ever going to want... Well, with that in mind I can't believe the Symetrix SX-202 dual mic pre hasn't been mentioned... I've got a bunch of pretty nice pres, and those thing hang right in there, esp...

It's like a super-dark, very syrupy vintage-style reverb with a super-long predelay. There's a pretty long predelay... Thanks for the input, folks... Appreciate it... Sounds like I need to go learn a lot more about the use of predelays, as I think that's what was mystifying these ears... Gear is ov...

Re: considering baking some tapes myself
Anyone here done it? Advice? I've got 4 2" reels from the late 80's early 90's that need it. Please advise, Bruce I've had successful results (the ability to get a good clean play off a tape that was previously shedding) by "baking" the tape in one of those dehydrators that you use to dry fruit and...

What You Ya'll Hearing On This TV Mix??
OK, my friend Jed (right in the video) asked to borrow a mic for this session, so I loaned him a U87... Sounds great! In fact, really great... I do a lot of recording bands playing live in the same room, and I'm really digging this recording and mix... Here 'tis... What are we hearing here? I'm hear...
