I am waiting for her next Pay to Play tour. "So I am ultra famous and if you would like to pay $150 you too can be on stage with me, behind a curtain; playing for exposure." I have a friend who has a tiny harmonica on a necklace that she always toots a bit at shows, and then tells people she played...

Are all fuse caps created equal???
So I picked up a Shure Vocal Master mixer/power amp thingy at an antique show today for a fin. The guy said it powered up and I figured for $5 I'd take a chance. Got it home and it doesn't power up (shocker). It's missing the second of two screw-in fuse caps (the one for the 3ag Slo-Blo). I know the...

Nice, thanks for the link! That was fun; even just hearing the stems out of the main mix and reading those short descriptions was a good experience. I've been interested in that album's arrangements since it came out. I downloaded stems for the whole album although I only had a go at two of them. A...

I've got three of these things. One has "slim cards", two don't, and don't none of 'em have any grey plugs. I have no idea what they're currently set up to do, and I'm not sure how to figure it out. I don't do a lot with inserts and I'd really just like to use it for thru connections if possible. An...

The mic in question is in fact an Astatic 335-H. The AKG is a D190E, but the element is all rattle-y inside. Starting to go through and test the stuff now. I think that weird thing is indeed an armored/gooseneck patch cable, btw. TS connections on both ends. Pretty intense. One connection on my patc...

Help me ID these toms...
Bought these at a swap meet today, a 10" and 12" tom. Sadly, they were the victims of someone's lousy attempt at a rewrap, and the badges and original coverings are missing. The hardware appears to be original, though... wondering if any of you drum geeks recognize them? http://farm9.staticflickr.co...
