+1 Sennheiser HD280 they hold up pretty well - a few pieces of plastic gone but mine are still working great.

I still use ensoniq paris - works great and simple to use.... I have pro tools M but usally end up using Paris....

The Art Pre's are great for the money - the MPA or if your looking for a pre / compressor channel look at the tubepac for around 100.

+1 one for the MPA - bought one and found it so useful I bought a second

I have both the crown and a Alesis RA-100. I prefer the crown but both work great. Also the old Pioneer SA series amps are pretty nice.

same here with the Behringer - it works fine and never had an issue - it is true about the "too many Knobs" other than that they work great.

I had one of these and thought it was a pile of crap... sold it really cheap on ebay. But that's just my take on it....

Check out the emad bass heads - they focus the sound more in my opinion and cut out the ring. Also a wood or plastic beater, and check out a beater patch that has a metal plate in it - I forget the name of the one I use when I need a click. Then somewhere around 3.5 K boost helps too.
