I made an obscenely lowball offer on a vintage pedal. The guy punched some numbers in his computer and told me my offer was just below his allowable selling price I took this to mean that they have a fantasy price they will ask for and receive if no one asks for a discount, and a real bottom line pr...

How does this dirty fucker compare to say a vox tone bender and original Rat? It differs quite a bit. Its one of the only pedals I know of that really truly has "touch" like a small tube amp... you can make it blow out pretty heavy, but it will also do that "on the verge of driving" sound very well...

nice bass tonewoods...and you get to live on orcas island? sweet. Those roadworn strats and teles are GOOD. I am not into the relicing for the sake of looking cool on a mass produced guitar, but those guitars feel, play and sound awesome. I'd buy a used one if I ever ran across one cheap . Its kind ...

well my point was that what I thought was valuable was not that valuable, so yes there was no need to insure a 70's strat with a replaced pickup and floyd rose installed. I had assumed my items were more valubale than they actually were , in part im sure due to my sentimental attachment to them, but...

Portland appears to be having a rough time with the economy and unemployment right now. I think to some extent there is also an attitude that organs and pianos should be free, regardless of their desireability, condition, and actual value...theres just so many that are given away that people dont wa...

I've enjoyed my 990 over the years after some simple physical mods but have to say I don't trust anything from musician's friend any more. Seems like everything I get shipped from them is from the bottom of the stock barrel and has been mis-handled somewhere along the way. Not to mention noticing t...

"That just leaves four more people left on the list before I stopped taking new orders (sfsonarboy, Arran Fisher, norsehorse and chovied). Once those are done, I'll take a break to do some R&D, and come back with improvements and more options. " sweeet! I get the last original to roll off the assemb...

I've also been really inspired musically lately, and I'm dying to have a chance to record some stuff, but there's just not a lot of time. I don't know to what degree others would agree, but that it's so much more important, like 1000% more important. It's an empty feeling when you have the time but...

I would love one of these if any are available! I'm temporarily not taking any new orders... I'm still at least 20 behind, and when those are done, I'm going to go into R&D mode and maybe come back with long and short ribbon versions, different options on ribbon thickness, maybe even different ribb...
