Any Tascam US-428 Users w/Macs? A question...

I recently bought one of these (real cheap) and am wondering if I can do the following via either Cubase 4.1 or the (included) Cubasis software (I'm not planning on going to OS X just yet): ?? Record multiple channels (three mics) to three separate, multiple tracks, live. I don't see why this is so ...

Re: Need a good cassette deck recommendation

Thanks but don't know if this particular model (or model number) is available in the USA. Can only find information from UK sites. I've got a bunch of cassettes that are 10+ years old that need to go digital. Again, thanks in advance for any help or suggestions...

Need a good cassette deck recommendation

Hi Everyone,
Just curious as to what everyone is using when it comes to transferring cassette masters down to digital? Denon? Sony? I seem to recall that Tascam used to have a fairly industrial model (the 122?) but don't know if that is good for 2-track masters or 4-track only.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Magnatune - online record label - the way of the future?

Does anyone know if they will take music from artists that have self-released CDs? I just saw that Rapoon are listed as one of their artists, but this could be a one-off thing for them.

Re: Music Distribution

Thanks a TON. I know about CT, Lumberjack, Revolver etc. but did not know that Dischord (Southern?) did indie distribution but it would make perfect sense. I've been out of whats going on in DC since about 1995. Thanks again.

Re: MP3.com is closing.

I don't know why the fuss. I loved MP3.com. I'm sorry to see it go, regardless of the rules. For those of us with limited knowledge of how to run our own webservers and host MP3's 24/7, they did a good job. And it was free to boot. I've already posted this in another section but does anyone have any...

The Demise of MP3.com ...

Hi Everyone, Just curious if anyone had an opinion on the demise of MP3.com and/or an opinion regarding the services offered in it's place (?) by TruSonic. For one, I thoroughly loved having my songs posted on MP3.com -- the ability to pull up a website and play my music from anywhere in the world i...

Re: Music Distribution

Also -- as a side note (and perhaps better listed as a new topic) does anyone have an opinion on MP3.com's demise and the new services offered by TruSonic?

Music Distribution

Since this is a non-recording thing, I'd just like to pose a question to everyone regarding independent distribution, in the hopes that I can get some resources. My band is about to release it's first CD and we have little in the means of regional (East Coast) or national distribution. I know that t...

Don't forget the Sonics!

They are in the top five, after the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Velvet Underground and the Beach Boys....I think...
