Re: FYI
I use to use this interface. Great stuff. I have an Echo Layla 3G cardbus card left over for sale @$100 that would make this a great mobile package for somebody also. Bump for a great deal all around for somebody!!! Martin IIRC, I don't think Echo makes a cardbus card for the Layla 3G. They have on...

I would think so. I've had a couple of TT's and they pushed 2x12 w/ no effort at all with a cranked attenuator patched in (this was for recording). 15 watts is more than enough for recording. It might struggle a bit if you have a really loud drummer, another guitarist w/ a 100 watt stack, etc. obvio...

IIRC, there are at least two distinct eras for Joe Meek-- the Ted Fletcher Joe Meek era and the PMI Joe Meek era. Each feature significantly different designs and are essentially different companies (PMI bought up the rights to the name after the TF Meek company shut down, IIRC the TF Meeks were mad...

1) depends; i'd not use the word disproportionate. The 2nd tube is amplifying the output of the 1st; the 1st mostly defines the noise floor since it contributes to the total gain amount, and the 2nd only contributes downstream. etc etc 2) section matching in a dual triode like a 12AX7 only matter w...

Ignorant questions regarding tubes in recording gear
I?#1: Does the first tube socket in a multiple tube recording preamp disproportionately influence the sound like V1 in a guitar amp? I?#2: How much does it matter if tube sections are matched in a tube used in a recording preamp. If they are mismatched, can you get uneven gain response like in a gui...

I haven't used two AF12's, but I've used a AF12 and an AF4 together w/o troube. I would think it would depend on how your computer specs, what bit res/sample rate you're working with, any plugs happenin, etc. According to the manual IIRC, they say they've used 4 or 5 together successfuly. ________ C...

FS: Sovtek MIG-50 Head - $400 Shipped
Reluctantly for sale a Sovtek MIG-50. I got this a few weeks ago and love it, but I need to scrape some money together for mics for an upcoming project. This was the last amp in so the first one out. Labeled by many as a poor man's JCM800 and Bassman melded together. The amp sounds and works great. ...

Thanks!digitaldrummer wrote:I built one of these and have been using it on snare - it's got a lot of pop and a bit of compression that I believe comes from the input transformer (Cinemag). $325 is a good deal. someone should snap this up.
EDIT: SOLD!

Five Fish SC-1 MK500 Lunchbox pre w/ Input Xformer - $325 sh
Agh-- I really hate to do this, but I'm trying to quickly scrape together some funds for another purchase. I bought this fully assembled from Five Fish about a month ago. It is the model with the input transformer. It sounds great and only has about an hour of use. Here's a chance to get one that is...

Z Vex Vexter Box of Rock, Radial Bigshot I/O, Danelectro Was
Z Vex Vexter Box of Rock - A little light scuffing/scratching on the bottom, but the top is in great shape and the pedal in is excellent working condition. Just the pedal is included. This is a great pedal, but I'm a tube screamer dirt kind of guy and I got a Blues Devil here that takes care of that...

I'm definitely happy with my Dead Room II as well. I have a Weber Mass 100 that helps if I want to crank my amps up to get the best tone. My one concern with the DRII that comes really out of how well it's designed. The cab is so well sealed that when you open and close it I worry about the pressure...
