I'm asking for some knowledge of the preamp world because I currently have had no 1st hand experiance, just lots of studying, some I'm just going to ask, What's up with the burr brown mods? What's the benefit? Where can I have one modded?

Just thought I'd start a thread on votes for our favorite inexpensive preamps, new or old, that have made you thank God you were on a budget and found them.

Do you like to print effects, reverb, compression, etc. to tape while tracking? Those of us who are broke and lack multiple rack units would like to know what has worked well and in what order. Thanks in advance for your wonderful replies!!!
