The vocal stylings of David Lee Roth

I guess this is floating around now.
It's nice hearing it without all that reverb on the master!

Enjoy!

Junk, When I had it apart, I was looking for the switch that determines whether it runs at 7.5/15, or 3.75/7.5. I don't know if I found it, but there was a switch inside directly below the pitch control knob on the main circuit board that I flipped back and forth a few times. When I plugged the mach...

So, did the problem get fixed? Bri It's working now! I had tried the switch thing earlier this evening with no luck. I took it apart after I made the post and did a few things. Finally it engaged and stayed on. I guess it probably hasn't ever been used in that mode before, so it was in shock and be...

Otari MX5050 MKIII-2 problem

Hey all, I just bought these two tape machines yesterday and I've got a problem with the two-track on the left. Any advice would be great! The two-track didn't come with the manual, but I downloaded one for the stand up model, which is technically the same. The problem: I put a tape on and it plays ...

You might consider just getting your woofers re coned.

It's cheaper and your speakers as a whole will retain it's original sound.

Nail polish remover should be 100% acetone.

Check your product label. If it's not, then get some that is.

What kind of head is it? Coated or non coated?

I have some old Evans heads I can test.

I have an Ibanez 202 and love it.

I got it off of Evil Bay over a year ago, for right at $200 bucks.

It also has flange and chorus.

I can't think of a mic to start a locker with. Microphones are just tools like any other piece of recording gear. I can make records with a handful of Shure 57's. I think a lot of microphones are overrated, including the U47. If someone gave me one, I would take it, but I'm not gonna spend all that ...

Beatles Fun

My drummer buddy came down from Missouri last week and it's a tradition with us to do some recording. It always seems that we do Beatle songs. I guess it's because they our favorite band of all time.....anyway, we wound up doing two songs because they were short. We decided to to do a front/back 45 ...

I can tell you first hand how Andy Wallace mixed those records back in the 90's. He mixed our record "Space In Your Face" (Galactic Cowboys). He did it right after Nirvana, Helmut, and Shudder To Think. I spent almost 3 weeks watching his every move. He always used samples on the kick and the snare,...
