Transporting Tape Machine
I'm gonna be driving across country with a big huge tape deck. I wanted to get a roadcase with shocks for it, but it's looking like I might not have the time or money. How worried should I be about just putting it in my van, roping in down and driving 3,000 miles?

I found one of these today in a store cheap today. I'm waiting to hear back from my tech to see if it's worth buying. Does anyone have anything to say about these machines? What would I be looking at for annual upkeep? The guy at the store (who I know and is trustworthy) says it's running great righ...

Reloading Pro-tools
I had to restore my computer which means I had everything wiped out. I just reinstalled Pro-tools LE and all of the files are still there from before. When I went to click on one my computer restarted on its own. What the hell is this all about? I had it restored professionally too. Thanks. danny

Re: what would one gain if
Do you mean I would want to make sure and hit the tape hard for each individual track?

what would one gain if
he or she decided to take 24 tracks worth of unprocessed pro-tools files and took them to a studio and threw them on 2 inch and then sent them back into pro-tools to take back home to be mixed. Has any of you ever done this? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth doing. Thanks

Re: What reverb do you like?
I long to use a plate on a session. I've just never had the chance. I just recorded a record and avoided having to use any reverb on the drums and they sound huge and awesome. I did have good luck with the Rverb plug-in for some vocal stuff. Some of the small plate sounds on it are good for subtle s...
