And the one closer to the side of the amp, which was also a 12ax7, but an electro harmonix. I bought 12ay7 military NOS and 12au7 JJ/tes...

Super Amateur Hour Tube Amp question
Hello, I want to change the tubes in my Fender Junior Pro. (Here comes the stupid question part...) How do I take out the tubes? Do i just pull down on them until they pop out? I just feel nervous about it. And stick them right back in? I'm referring to the shorter tubes, not the longer ones. Thanks...

BBE DI 1000 Jensen Tran/ Sonic Maximizer
Has anyone tried this little ditty?
I really want a nice DI and while I was looking at Radial JDI mk3, I ran across this. I was wondering if anyone's heard it. It's advertised as passive/active, what does that mean?

I tried to look through the previously interviewed so I don't come up with repeats but I might not have recognized the person's name because I'm familiar with their alias/bandname. I was going to ask for the Microphones but I saw Phil Elvrum. Kevin Barnes : I was surprised to not have seen him inter...

Best mic for a EH 12ay7
Welcome Tape Op cats and dogs to my (first) post. I was thinking about getting an EH 12ay7. A pre which I've heard, seems to add more to the mid/low and low range frequencies than the higher ones. If this is the case, what would be the best mic for overall home recording use? I've heard the AT 2020 ...
