Yes the newer pathfinder that's $120. I know that both are Tape Op-worthy. I'd like to hear about the differences...

Search proved inconclusive and I know I should try both.... but I think both are pretty popular so there must be members out there who have something to say about the differences.

Fender Pro Jr and Vox Pathfinder

Any comments on the differences from experienced users? Sound quality. Which one is cleaner?

I have a pro jr and it sounds great but it is a little on the loud side. Is the vox quieter?

the Red with the motu sounds the best to me. the Duet sounds farther away than the motu on the Red comparison. I think the cardioid sounds the worst on the motu. the omni i thought, although lacking the low end of the Red, sounded good in a different way. maybe less hi end on it. I really liked the ...

i was very excited to read the dr. dog double header and it was a very interesting time. i wish more on easy beat was discussed in specifics but you can't have everything and even worse, getting to technical and scientific esp. with this kind of band seems trite. but muchas gracias to tapeop for doi...

cb radio mic cable resoldering

Hello out there, I have a cool little cb radio walkie talkie style radio (ten four over... kinda thing) and the cable ends in a four pin. I want to resolder to xlr or 1/4''. There's five wires when stripped. Does anyone know the correct placement for the wires for an XLR or 1/4'' end? Muchas Gracias...

It's interesting how the telefunken 47's with different tubes got such different results. I don't want to say which numbers they are but you can tell from the poll too. What to make of this? The wunder mic was so clear and upfront.

I didn't listen to the A12 comparisons but from the 002 pre's I could hear a difference. The unmodded had something louder in the highs and sounded harder as a result with the bass attack being softer. the modded sounded the opposite, softer highs and a punchier bottom end. the mini me sounded a lit...

the nady ones are straight from the factory. the cascade ones have modifications like the actual ribbon which is thinner. If you look at the fat head page at bay view... just search for cascade fat head in google... then it lists the differences.

yeah the digital mpa gold. I was just suspicious that the digital mpa only costs a little more than the mpa with only analog outs. I must assume that the converters are not great. The sound on sound review was a little vague, and thank you inverseroom for responding. However, it's probably fair to s...

ART mpa gold a/d converters

Hello.

I've heard great reviews about the sound of this unit, but never any mention of how the converters are. Are they a complete waste of money or are they surprisingly good? Right now I just have an m-audio fw audiophile.
