there is no reason you cant burn a data CD with a .dmg or .exe file which would be the install file for the software. You could even burn a .dmg as an image file.

just remember your auth. codes.

Generally, i believe most engineers who want a dead center snare would place the OH mics in such a way that the snare drum sounds centered when they are panned hard left and right. Close mics then get panned to match the imaging provided by the overheads. If the snare/hats are louder in one OH than ...

i had an ART phantom power supply...when the 9v batteries ran out, i plugged in the transformer....

yes, everything works fine. Waves, Digiracks, and others...ive actually put 7 on both my machines, so it seems to work fine on both mac and pc.

i once recorded drums for a demo with a slightly broken sm57, a mousepad, some change and a fake wood desk.

have you ever repaired your disk permissions?

if you did alot of installing, downloading and deleting before you installed PT, and didnt repair your permissions, it is possible that the installaton could be corrupted.

Try repairing the permissions in the disk utility application that comes with OSX.

a coffee can or oil drum reverb.
