Got it sorted--trashing preferences did the trick and allowed me to change the playback engine to the 002R. A bit of oddness with the external clock--it started up with that as it's how I normally have it set up; but had the wrong sample rate (48 kHz vs. 44.1 kHz) and wouldn't let me change it. I ch...

PT9 Lost Contact with Digi-002R
So this was weird. I was starting a session last night and started PT9 before firing up the 002R/Minime/Tango24 (accidentally). In PT6 (the version I had pre-upgrade), when I did this PT would stop mid-startup and say the interface was not turned on. PT9 just sailed through and assumed there was no ...

When you say "computer" do you meen the 002R; and you have it set up in Protools to use the ADAT input as the clock? If so, not sure what the problems could be. I have an 002R, Apogee Minime, and Tango 24. The way I"m set up, the spdif output from the Minime acts as the master clock. The 002R is set...

Cool. Reading up on things a bit--looks like a could get a half-normalled patchbay and mult the output from the Tango 24 between the mixer and tape machine. I'll have to puzzle through the cable requirments and layout a bit more--but best I can figure at the moment I'll need at least one new TRS cab...

Am I in the Market for a Patchbay?
So I got my 1-in 8-track back in service this weekend (MCI-JH110 B/C, happy-happy, joy-joy!). In getting test tones over to the thing I had to swap around a bunch of cables that I'll have to go back and switch around now. Also, I don't think I'm doing things the most efficient way because of cable l...

PT9 Oddity
I was working on mix the other day and something weird happended. When I went to move a fader with the mouse, just clicking on it sent it all the way down to zero from it's current position; from that point, I could adjust the level but I'd basically lost reference to its previous position. Is there...
