TooLoFi thanks for the offer but I'm 812 miles to the north in Seattle.

I might have a chance to mix a project that was recorded on a Mackie hard disk recorder. The potential client has the IDE drives but not the Mackie anymore. I'm not sure how to get the files (wav I think) into my Mac.

Any insight anyone could give would be appreciated.

The problem is that drummers who need a click aren't good enough to play to one ("It's, like, throwing me off!") and drummers who can play to a click generally don't need one.

I love Dry and I was also really dissapointed by Rid Of Me; I think it just trys too hard to be....I don't know, intenionally grating? It's just too transparent and affected.

I reference to compare levels, bottom end, brightness etc., not to ape anyones particular sound.

Sometimes I get a click when I do a punch in (using DP3, G4, MOTU 2408MKII). Most of the time I don't but sometimes I do right where the old soundbite meets the new one.
