Re: digital delay

I would use a digital for any tap stuff. The memory man is quite a beast...sometimes, unpredictable...and so it usually either fades off, or keeps building up to feedback. It's tough to do any kind of repetitive tempo pacing. Maybe I just haven't tried hard enough...but I also have a digital delay, ...

Re: digital delay

wouldn't everyone love a space echo? :hearts: The memory man is analog, and although I've never played with tape (only heard examples), I think the memory man compares pretty well. (for example...I heard a yeah, yeah, yeahs song...and I was like "that sounds like my MM!" and then saw them on Conan a...

NICE! That's a great album...I didn't know they used the vintage keys on it!!

Re: digital delay

Line 6's box mirrors the sound, and they even advertise their sound as ZVex's Seek Wah. I also gathered that they never asked his permission, never thanked him, never paid him any kind of fee, they basically used his name without any sort of compensation. It's possible that Line 6 might have made s...

EMU VINTAGE KEYS MODULE

does anyone have this or played around with it??
I'm curious as to how they sound. Especially interested in the rhodes and mellotron sounds.

Re: digital delay

I heard that if you got a Digitech PDS-1002, there was a way you could pump it up to 8 sec. Does anyone know if that's true or how to do it?

HELL YA! :worthy: I love my deluxe memory man. Analog and digital delays (like recording mediums) are two different beasts. I like somethings that digital can do...but always run for my memory man more than my digital

Re: Grandaddy's new album "sumday"

I am really upset about this. The songwriting is so strong, some of Jason's best melodies ever, but the dumb guy they got to mix it (who also mixed Coldplay and Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan and shit)sucked so much of the "weird" out of it. I agree with you here. I've only heard 4 or 5 songs off Sum...

Re: do you ever get sick of it

Wow...everyone sounds like quite the haggard veteran. In the long run...no matter how much mainstream music may suck...(and it sucks pretty bad right now)...there will always be those who will dig for good music. Some or most may be satisfied with the high gloss sheen of "radio" music...but there is...

Re: Jay Leno and David Letterman

I agree with the whole "Live appearances" thing. I know when I go to a show, I came to hear the music...not watch some jackass in gold plated pants, winging around a guitar with disco lights on it. Seeing what some people choose to wear on national TV is funny. I wouldn't dress like that on halloween.

Re: Best Sci Fi Movies 1990-Today

I thought AI was about 20 minutes too long. Other than that I though it was good. As far as the whole debate...over Kubrick vs. Speilberg...well we'll never really know if it "ruined his vision" cause...well...he's dead. I know I'm glad it was still released as opposed to being buried with kubrick. ...

a mexican made tele - some effects - music man 4 10" cab.

I guess my question is, do you use the same sorts of rules as a one speaker amp...just micing off one of the four...or are their more "rules" to follow recording a multi-speakered amp??
