Boss DR670 Drum Machine
I played one at Guitar Center the other day, and I'm really interested in getting one. Right now I'm using fruity loops for my drum loops, but by doing the playlists by hand and the limited amounts of standard samples, annoys me. It takes me hours to get a song done with fills and everything. It tak...

Re: The two extremes. kinda.
I dig it. The acoustic track is pretty cool especially when the harmonica comes in
One the first track the vocals seem kinda forced, especially on those screaming notes, thats the only criticism, I have thinking back at it.

Re: Edwards in 2008
Edwards, as a smooth-talking southern christian, has to be seen as the best candidate. But, like wing said, he has very little experience. Relinquishing his senate seat was a major tactical mistake. He could try to run for something in '06, and wait it out till the '12 presidential race. He would b...

Re: pink floyd live at pompeii what mics were used?
You are correct. Sennheiser MD409's for vocal mics. The older ones with the pivot on the stand mount. I can not remember what drum mics were used, I will have to watch it again. The only lame thing was the footage added of the space shuttle taking off and the computer animation. It was suposed to b...

Re: I'm in a jam about my college future....
Thanks guys for all the serious responses. Every little perspective I get on this, helps a lot. I'm currently in one of those unclear situations right now, that we all have, so my thoughts are everywhere on this. Yea, I am only a freshman but I don't want to wait to late to make the change, i'm glad...

I rerecorded the vocals, and compressed the hell out of them. Are they compressed too much? I think I did 5:1

Every real engineering school worth it's salt (and around here it's places like Purdue, U of I, Rose-Hulman, IIT, Northwestern...) requires a buncha core courses in humanities and physics, chemistry, and math. You gotta fight your way through this stuff before you can take any advanced classes in w...

How about a 18 year old college student? I'll drop out if I get the big bucks.

I'm in a jam about my college future....
The first mistake I made was doing crappy in high school (3.1 GPA). The second mistake i made was deciding to go to a liberal arts college (www.stockton.edu) to persue a technlogy education, and my current major is computer science. I've been really thinking about what i want to do with my life, and...

A silly song..."Badminton"
I've been lurking around at the tapeop boards for a while and I love this place. I'm currently in college and I never have the time to do anything I want like play guitar or record. This sunday I managed to fit 2 hours into recording a song with just my computer mic, and managed to find someone in m...
